This is my obligatory Final Fantasy racism comic. All comics do one at one point or another, right?
The idea came about after I recently purchased Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls for the GBA. I really got into Final Fantasy I, but for some reason began calling my mages Whitey and Blacky. I didn't think they'd take too well to it if they were real people. Luckily for me pixels feel no emotion or racial sensitivity.
Some people do though, which started a short outrage against Sony a while back. It's been said that Sony went a little too far. I suppose you could say that. Those ads weren't a design I would have personally chosen, but I didn't mind them from a viewer's standpoint. I actually thought they were pretty cool until someone mentioned the racial slander. Hooray for naivety!
On a side note, when the hell did I learn to draw dragons? I've never been able to do that before. :O
